This camp is for ages 5-16. Children will spend their days in a small group of 6 children separated by age (either ages 5-8, 9-12 or 13-16**), rotating between our three areas of focus: Farm Animal Husbandry, Nature Art and Nature Skills. Farm Animal Husbandry gives children hands-on, age-appropriate experiences with our farm animals including sheep, goats, poultry and more. Campers love how truly hands-on our animal experiences are. And in our Nature Art Program children develop their observational skills while using a range of media from natural wool to clay to paints. And finally, new for 2023, we have added our Nature Skills program where children will connect with nature in new and exciting ways in our ‘Nature Village’ (behind the pond). Children who have been to our camp before will be thrilled by this new expansion, centered around the treehouse and a council ring where our entire camp of 18 campers will gather during the course of the week for stories, shares and more. Nature skills encompass a wide range of activities from learning about animal tracks to fire-building, dyeing with plants, carving and more, all designed for your child’s age group.

**Please also note that, due to the nature of this camp, children in the 13-16 year old group will spend some of their Livestock time up in our grazing fields a mile and a half down the road. These campers will be transported by car between the home farm and fields by an adult (either part of Henny Penny staff or Farmer Whitney).
