Sheepskin Trim Mittens

These mittens are truly the coming together of many talented hands. This fabric made from wool from our sheep that we dyed here on the farm with natural dyes (many of which were grown on the farm). The weaver, Katie, lives a couple towns over and created a bolt of fabric for us to work with. Then Brenda (who also keeps bees on our farm) designed the patterns and sews these mittens which she edges with sheepskin from our flock. The outer surface of the mitten is a combination of our wool and suede. The inside of the mitten is lined in fleece. As one of our customers said after putting on the mittens “They feel like a warm hug!” and we couldn’t agree more!
