This is a slice of farming in New England. These blankets capture time and place within each ply of yarn, to be cherished by your loved ones now and passed down for future generations to remember this moment.

These blankets are made from 100% Dorset wool from our flock. We dyed the yarn on farm with natural dyes (except the blue is a conventional dye to ensure it is colorfast with extended washing). The yarn is then handwoven and a handstitched edge complete with faux suede logo completes the design.

Blankets come presented in a white cardboard box and are wrapped in tissue and ribbon. The box also includes 2 commemorative cards about the artists who have collaborated on this project as well as care information and a link to the video below. This would make a truly special gift. While these were initially designed with babies in mind, the final product delighted us so much we love it as a lap-blanket for adults as well!

Blankets measure 30″ x 42″

This Dorset wool is suitably soft for baby while still not prone to felting, so these blankets will stand up to gentle everyday use and be ok to go through a cool, gentle wool cycle in a lingerie bag in the laundry machine and then hung up to dry. But since wool naturally repels bacteria you don’t need to wash these nearly as often as cotton. (In fact, unless they are stained we recommend just a bit of fresh air and sunshine to refresh your blanket!). Convenience and heirloom quality to pass to the next generation!
