Flora Fingerless Mittens Knitalong
After so many requests from our community, we are excited to finally offer an On-Farm Knitalong! We will be making Farmer Whitney’s Flora Fingerless Mittens. They are a fun, beginner knit embellished with basic embroidery stitches. There are two versions of this pattern so that we can welcome both complete beginners as well as advanced knitters. Junior Farmers (ages 5-8) will spend mornings on the farm, learning about the different animals and plants living here. We’ll do morning ‘chores’ each day and then pick a particular animal (like a lamb, goat, chicken or rabbit) to learn more about and do an activity centered around. Activities might include working with an individual sheep over the course of the week, learning how to milk a goat, collecting eggs and experiencing how much fun ducks are and more. Young Explorers Program
Learning about chicks This spring we will be offering our Young Explorer program again. It's an experience similar to our summer camp programs but modified to meet the interests and pace of children age 3-5. Children will get to learn about our farm animals, plants and wildlife on the farm in hands-on activities.
